Mary Mary Quite Contrary

We started our garden last week. I can't wait to reap what we have sown. Jack helped a lot with the weeding, digging, planting, and watering. Cash inhibited all of his efforts, but both were equally fun little helpers. We have tomatoes (3 different kinds), lettuce (2 different kinds), tomatillo peppers, jalepenos, walla-walla onions, red onions, radishes, fingerling carrots, zucchini, bail, cilantro, and some flowers too.
Cilantro (fresh pico de gallo anyone?):
Zucchini (my fave):
Basil (Jack eats 1-2 leaves per day and excited to get my pesto freezer stash back up):
Yellow-Pear tomatoe and Cash doing chalk in the background:
Lettuce seeds have sprouted!
Beginnings of jalepeno:
Tomatillo Peppers (they have a pretty flower too):
Jack, excited that the radish seeds he planted have already sprouted:
One of two of our raised beds:
Both raised beds:
Wiley, in the raspberry bushes, that are coming back nicely:
Beginnings of rasperries (best Summer snack ever):
A blueberry bush came back, yay! The other 2 sadly didn't make it through a heavy frost last year...
Blackberry bushes, homemade trellis for them, and a homemade compost bin (courtesy Uncle Kev and John):
Flowers that popped up without notice, picked by Jack:
"These are for you Mom" *love it*:
One of the front beds, which I plan to do something with...these Hosta plants do nothing for me, especially since they are a major pain to remove come Fall:
