What's new?

Cash is 15 months, and seems to be adding new words to his vocab everyday. Recent ones are: "Baby", "Bye-Bye", "Wa" (Water), "Nye-Nye" (Night-Night), "Done", "Moon", and "Mickey". He's also learning a few animal sounds: Dino's, Lyons, and Alligators say "Rarrrr", and Cows say "Mooooo". He can find his: Belly button, eyes, nose, and ears. He's following right in Jack's footsteps, and is becoming obsessed with "Choo-Choos". He loves books, and will bring me several though out the day, for me to read to him. He likes to put on random people's shoes, and parade them around the house. He loves playing in the dirt and with the hose, and generally needs a bath any time he's been playing outside. His hair is somehow strawberry blonde, eyes hazel, and he still is only sporting two very cute front teeth. He loves yogurt, scrambled eggs, toast, and I can get more whole milk in him if I let him use a straw. He wakes up every morning asking for "Dack" (Jack) and gets the most excited when he sees John's truck pull in the drive. He's a ham in the grocery store, and has the art of whining perfected. I'm pretty sure his goal is to make Jack laugh at dinner-time, with his lack of manners.

Jack is Four, which means he wants to know everything about everything. He also knows it all, so I'm not sure how that works. His current obsession are bugs. The boys both have been bit by black flies recently (harmless, but annoying). Jack likes to pretend like he's a black fly, flying around the house, and creeping up on his victim, and then fake bite them...it's fun. He also questions usually beyond my knowledge about God and Heaven. He's into playing tricks and making jokes. He's a lot like his Dad. The minute he hears John coming home, he races to find a good hiding spot, and waits for John to come find him. He loves to race, and has to beat Cash into the car, and be buckled first. He tries to beat Dad by finishing dinner first, or get his clothes on faster than Cash. He's competitive, but it gets things done, so I'm not opposed. He likes being read longer stories now, and his favorite characters are generally the villains. He's very observant and if you say you're going to do something, he won't forget. He loves his little brother and is very protective of him.
